Aviation Maintenance Technology

32 AIRCRAFT SHEETMETAL STRUCTURES,

AIRCRAFT & ENGINE INSTRUMENTS,

AND ICE & RAIN PROTECTION

Technology 32L. ADVISORIES: Eligibility for English

125 or English 130 and English 126 and Eligibility for

Mathematics 201.

This lecture course will cover a variety of subject

areas required by the Federal Aviation Administration as part

of the Aviation Maintenance Technology Program. Topics

include: Identification and selection of appropriate aircraft

hardware and materials; inspection and repair of sheet-metal

structures, installing conventional rivets, forming, lay out,

and bending of sheet metal; inspection, servicing, and repair

of electronic flight instrument systems and heading, speed,

altitude, temperature, pressure, and position indicating

systems; and the inspection, servicing, and repair of airframe

ice and rain control systems. (A, CSU)

required by the Federal Aviation Administration as part of the

Aviation Maintenance Technology Program. Topics include:

This lecture course will cover a variety of subject

areas required by the Federal Aviation Administration as part

of the Aviation Maintenance Technology Program. Topics

include: turbine engine fuel metering systems, electronic

engine fuel controls, reciprocating and turbine fuel metering

system components, and performing fuel management

transfers and defueling procedures. Also covered will be fluid

quantity indicating systems, fluid pressure and temperature

warning systems, engine fire, smoke, carbon dioxide detection

systems and fire extinguishing systems. (A, CSU)
