IS 10 KEYBOARDING (1 Unit)
This course provides an introduction to the computer system with an emphasis on keyboarding. It is a “hands-on” approach stressing the development
of keyboarding skills needed to use a computer effectively. The keyboarding software allows the student to build speed and accuracy on alphabet,
number, and special computer keys. The course will include skill building exercises and an introduction to word processing software.

IS 15 COMPUTER CONCEPTS (3 Units)
This course provides an introduction to computer and information systems concepts and terminology, an overview of hardware, and software (systems
and applications including word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation and programming), the history of the microcomputer, privacy and
legal issues, and telecommunications (email and Internet). A grade of “C” or better in this course fulfills the computer familiarity
requirement.
