CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT
Purpose: To provide students with the knowledge, training,
and practical experience to pursue a career in Wildland Fire
Management which includes the fields of fuels management
and fire suppression. Students are exposed to principles and
philosophies of wildfire ecology, hazard fuels reduction and
how they directly relate to fire suppression management. In
addition students will learn tactics and skills needed for safe
operations on wildfires as well as prescribed fires. These skills
and knowledge can lead to entry level job placement and
advancement into supervisory and management positions with
private companies, state and federal wildfire agencies.
