Clovis Community College – Spring 2018 Class Schedule 137 We provide assistance and/or appropriate referral for issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, loss, identity struggles, relationship difficulties, substance abuse, and stress and/or test anxiety. We strive to offer a safe and positive place for students to address these difficulties. In order to access complementary campus Psychological Services, you must complete a “Request for Psychological Services” form available in the Health Services Office, AC2-274 West. The Psychological Service Office is located in AC2-278B. General office hours are Monday through Wednesday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; Thursday 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm; and Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however, hours may vary. Student Activities, Clubs & Organizations Clovis Community College offers a variety of co-curricular and extracurricular programs, including student government, clubs and social activities. These programs encourage students to share common interests, practice democratic procedures, broaden social horizons, and provide all students with the opportunity to participate, thus contributing to the growth of the individual, the college and the community. The Clovis Community College Associated Student Government (ASG) is the student governing organization. The legislative power of the Associated Student Government is vested in an executive senate whose members are elected by the student body composed of students enrolled at the CCC. CCC also offers the Alpha Gamma Sigma (AGS) Honor Society. Sigma Gamma Chapter is the statewide community college student organization established to promote, maintain and recognize scholarship. Membership is based upon academic achievement and members develop leadership skills, attend conferences and take part in college and community activities. Study Abroad Clovis Community College students may take advantage of international study programs offered by the college district. The international programs allow students an opportunity to study in another country while earning transferable college credit, as well as enable them to gain a first-hand understanding of other regions and cultures of the world. Transfer Services Transfer services assist students with the transition from Clovis Community College to a baccalaureate level college or university. These services provide a variety of informational resources for students about the Universities of California, California State Universities, California private colleges, and many out of state colleges. TRiO Programs Clovis Community College offers two TRiO programs that are geared to help students to meet their educational goals and objectives. These programs serve first generation, low income students and/or students with disabilities. They also provide academic support and guidance to help students meet the challenges in obtaining a degree or transferring to a four-year college. Student Support Services The Student Support Services (SSS) program provides opportunities for academic development, assists students with basic college requirements, and serves to motivate students towards the successful completion of their post- secondary education. SSS is a free federal TRIO program that serves students who are first generation, low-income or have a disability. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Majors The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Program provides specific opportunities for students seeking Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics majors.
