2016-2017 Catalog

On behalf of the faculty, administrators, and staff, I would like to welcome you to

Clovis Community College.

On July 20, 2015, the California Community Colleges Board of Governors voted

unanimously to recognize Clovis Community College as the 113th campus of

California’s community college system. The campus opened in 2007, first known as

the Willow International Center, then Clovis Community College Center. Now, we

are Clovis Community College.

Clovis Community College serves nearly 10,000 students in California’s heartland and

joins Fresno City College and Reedley College as part of the State Center Community

College District, one of the state’s largest community college districts, serving nearly

51,000 students.

New high school graduates, workforce students, veterans, and community members can

benefit in the areas of basic skills development, associate degrees, technical certificates,

transfers to four-year institutions, and lifelong learning.

We hold true to our goal and mission statement of

“Creating Opportunities – One Student at a Time.”

This goal is achieved with a

highly qualified staff of educators and support personnel who reflect the diversity of our unique community, embrace a flexible attitude

toward change, and encourage the spirit of innovation. Clovis Community College offers state-of-the-art facilities with a dynamic campus

that celebrates multiplicity and individualism.

Clovis Community College also offers classes at the Herndon Campus, which is four miles from the main campus. The Herndon Campus

is located at 390 West Fir Avenue in Clovis, California. The City of Fresno offers public bus transportation to the Herndon Campus

located at Peach and Herndon Avenues. Students can purchase daily or monthly passes to use the Clovis Community College shuttle that

provides service between Clovis Community College and the Herndon Campus.

Clovis Community College offers:

• 45 Associate Degree Programs

• 18 Certificate of Achievement Programs (Career Technical Education)
