This course will examine basic practical everyday communicative interaction behavioral aspects of interpersonal communication, self-concept, perception, listening, non-verbal communication, conflict, language gender and cultural differences will be emphasized. COMM 4 PERSUASION (3 Units) An introduction to the study and practice of persuasive discourse. This course was designed to examine historical and contemporary approaches to persuasive messages throughout time. The course will cover both theory and application of persuasive techniques in personal and professional communication. Opportunities are provided for students to present and analyze persuasive materials orally and in writing, as a way of developing communication and critical abilities.
