Topics include arithmetic operations on integers, fractions and decimals, application of order of operations to simplifying arithmetic and algebraic expressions, solving linear equations, graphing linear equations, and applications. It introduces computer hardware and software, including the use of a mouse and a keyboard, as well as an introduction to the windows operating system. Word processing and spreadsheet software will be introduced. Students will access the Internet and perform basic searches.
