Lower Division Admission Requirements Transfer students with fewer than 60 semester or 90 quarter units must have a grade point average of 2.0 (“C”) or better in all transferable units attempted, be in good standing at the last college or university attended, and meet any one of the following eligibility standards: Transfer Based on Current Admission Criteria: Satisfy the freshman admission requirements in effect for the term for which the application is made; or Transfer Based on High School Eligibility: Satisfied eligibility as a freshman at the time of high school graduation and has been in continuous attendance in an accredited college since high school graduation; or Transfer Based on Making up Missed Subjects: Satisfied the eligibility index at the time of high school graduation (combination of grade point average and test scores, if needed), has made up any missing college preparatory subject requirements with a grade of “C” or better, and has been in continuous attendance in an accredited college since high school graduation. Note: Due to enrollment pressures, many CSU campuses do not admit lower division transfers. Some campuses may require lower division transfer students to complete specific college coursework as part of their admission. Upper Division Transfer Students Students are eligible for admission with 60 or more CSU transferable semester units (90 quarter units) if they: • Have a grade point average of 2.0 or better (2.4) for California non-residents) in all transferable college units attempted. • Are in good standing at the last college or university attended, i.e., eligible to re-enroll. • Have completed or will complete prior to transfer at least 30 semester units (45 quarter units) of general education requirements with a grade of “C” or better in each course. Notes: Campuses and/or programs that are designated as impacted have additional admission criteria. Impacted campuses/ programs result when the number of CSU eligible applicants received in the initial application filing period is greater than the number of students that can be accommodated by the campus or major. There are limitations on the number of CSU transferable work experience credits accepted. These vary by CSU campus .
