The Biological Sciences transfer major is designed for students who plan to earn a bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field. An Associate in Science in Chemistry for Transfer Degree will develop a student’s ability to collect, record, organize, analyze, critically evaluate, and interpret chemical information and data. The student will learn how to apply appropriate theories and techniques, to solve quantitative and qualitative problems. The program will also involve learning how to use computational and critical thinking skills, applying concept knowledge, and effectively communicating scientific information. These skills and this set of knowledge will be valuable to a student transferring to a CS to major in chemistry. It will also enhance a student’s preparation to go on to earn a graduate degree as well as a wide range of rewarding careers.
