Clovis Community College – Spring 2018 Class Schedule 133 the counselor does not agree, the student may appeal the counselor’s recommendations to the vice president of instruction by completing the submit a Prerequisite/Corequisite Challenge Petition (available from the Counseling Center or from a counselor). The student will have a chance to present his/her case at which time a decision will be made as to whether to enroll in the class. Students who plan to transfer to a baccalaureate institution prior to the completion of 60 transferable units at Clovis Community College are encouraged to take the ACT (American College Test) or the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) of the college board. No placement examination is required as a condition for admission to the college. Athletics CCC provides competitive athletic programs in accordance with the California Community College Athletic Association Constitution. Support services for student athletes includes a comprehensive team approach to address the academic and personal demands of being a student athlete. The team is composed of an athletic director, academic counselor, athletic trainer, coaches and other staff/faculty. All athletes will participate in a supplemental academic program called CRUSH Academy. Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive were the first sports to be offered at Clovis Community College with spring 2016 being the team’s inaugural season. Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams followed in fall 2016. CCC’s athletic programs are highlighted across the campus through posters, representation at campus and community events, interest cards, social media and CCC’s Athletics webpage. CCC student athletes represent a diverse group of individuals that come to us from various communities including Fresno, Clovis, Oakhurst, Madera, Chowchilla, Sanger, Parlier, and Fowler. Approximately 70 student athletes are now a part of CCC’s competitive athletic programs. Bookstore The on-campus bookstores carries textbooks, student parking permits, supplies, materials, apparel and other articles of interest to the college community. Additional services offered are year around textbook buyback, online textbook and merchandise ordering at mycampushub.com . Accepted payment methods include cash, credit/debit cards, Android Pay, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Telephone (559) 325-5319. Crush Café Meals and snacks are available throughout the day in the campus cafe. Cafe hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Fridays. Summer hours will vary. Telephone (559) 325- 5302. CalWORKs Program CalWORKs is a student support program that provides current public assistance recipients with vocational and educational training. CalWORKs works collaboratively with Fresno County Department of Social Services to help transition students to self-sufficiency. These students are provided with: Book Vouchers, First Tier Priority Registration, School Supplies, Work Study Opportunities, Specialized Counseling and Transfer Assistance.
