Clovis Community College – Spring 2018 Class Schedule 126 INFORMATION SYSTEMS IS 13 DATABASE ESSENTLS (1.5 Units) This course is designed for students who aspire to attain a basic understanding of databases. Topics will include creating and editing tables, creating and using forms, creating and running queries, creating and printing reports, and sorting and indexing data fields using current database software. Students are expected to complete computer assignments outside of class. IS 15 COMPUTER CONCEPTS (3 Units) This course provides an introduction to computer and information systems concepts and terminology, an overview of hardware, and software (systems and applications including word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation and programming), the history of the microcomputer, privacy and legal issues, and telecommunications (email and Internet).
